This training introduces the learner to the importance of certification for clinical service providers. It highlights the role that the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) plays in protecting clients and professionals and introduces learners to the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. The roles and responsibilities of an RBT are presented, along with the roles and responsibilities of other certified providers (i.e., BCBAs and BCaBAs), in the context of the tiered service delivery system. Criteria for securing the RBT credential, as well as requirements for maintaining the credential are reviewed.
