Description

This training provides an understanding about the functional assessment of problem behavior, which is the first step in effectively treating problem behavior. It describes behavior, specifically target behaviors, and the importance of understanding the operational definitions for each target behavior. The distinction between topography and function is presented and the four common functions of behavior are outlined.This training highlights three functional assessment procedures and describes the behavior technician’s role in assisting with each assessment.
